With higher density equipment now being deployed in server rooms and data centers, the volume of air being pulled through the IT equipment rack is exceeding the volume of cool air being distributed at the face of the higher density racks. Typically, the response to this is to increase cooling in the room. This creates an over cooling situation for most cabinets. However the FanAssist system normalizes the space so that all supply air is available for the IT equipment. All server exhaust heat is contained, measured, and returned to the facility’s cooling units.

The FanAssist Duct system contains 100% of the heat while creating an entire automated cooling circuit. Place high-density racks anywhere while maintaining a perfectly controlled IT environment. Eliminate the need for supplemental cooling, allow fewer cooling units, and at the facility perimeter.

The system can be deployed any existing server cabinet or be ordered integrated with an optimized server cabinet. The dual hot-swappable fans are sized for 10, 20, and 30 kW loads. The variable speed fans will adjust based on pressure to the exact load requirements to maximize efficiency. Depending on the load requirements of the server cabinets, FanAssist Ducts may be used for every cabinet, every other cabinet or every third cabinet.
