Mechanically activated advanced aisle containment door with keypad security
The Cool Shield aisle containment sliding door solution is one of the most advanced in the industry. Constructed from high quality steel powder coated in either cream or black (or custom color). The single door is designed to be self-closing thanks to a gravity hinge arm design. An electromagnetic locking mechanism can be controlled by a keypad or swipe card entry system. A push button release on the inside will unlock the door and cause it to open.
Doors will automatically unlock and open if there is a power failure and they can be configured to open on pre-action of the fire suppression system. These safety features allow the Cool Shield Active Sliding Door to be one of the few sliding doors which meets the exceptions for building code emergency egress. Large tempered glass (optional FM 4910 panels available) viewing window provides view of cabinets and allows ambient lighting into aisle. The sliding doors are standard on the Modular AislePod system or can easily be retrofitted to work with existing third party enclosures.
